Pages: 62 - 63
Grammar:
Coordinating conjunctions punctuation
Commas
Clause of purpose (in order that and more)
(Copy and paste the following link in the URL space
so that you can access the page.)
(Thank you, Almudena for making me read the Grammar
Notes at the back of the book. The truth is that I have gone over them many
times, but I must have paid attention only to what I wanted to see. In order
that is very formal and not common in speech. Anyway,… apologies to all.)
Comparative using ‘The… the…’
(Cristina V. was right to ask if it wasn’t
necessary to use the verb in sentence 9 of worksheet 7C. Notice that when you
include the verb in the first part, you must put a comma. If you use the
shortened version, the comma doesn’t seem to be necessary. Also, the answer to
7 is the following: is much the best. Never heard it in my life. I guess I have
to live a bit longer.)
Vocabulary: to vent, tailgate
