Homework: Writing – Compare living in a small town to living
in a big city. (The comparison is easy, at least I believe so, but what I will
be looking for in your piece of writing is, obviously, the ‘correct’ use of comparative
and adverbial phrases as seen in the unit. Position yourself in favor of one or
the other and support your argument logically and coherently, please.) (180

posting this particular session because it is subtitled and close enough to
what we discussed in class. Session #5 is more pertinent but has no subtitles.)
Good heavens!! I had this movie in the back of my mind, so I have been pleasantly surprised to recall "The gods must be crazy" again. If I remember right, this film was on general release in the 80's and it was a box-office hit.
ResponderEliminarThe plot revolves around a tribe of Bushmen living completely oblivious to the Modern Era (considering all the aspects that it involves).
The story begins when a tribesman finds an empty bottle of Coke in the middle of the savannah, the man is throughly convinced that this is a gift from "the gods", so he takes it to the tribe. Nevertheless, he can't imagine how things are going to change due to his decision, since this simple thing will sow discord among them.
Although the movie is in humorous tone with witty situations, it gives us food for thought.
